Christmas Dreams

My parent’s living room
Orange shag carpet and 
Wood grain paneling, 

visits me In late night 

dreams covering me

With the warmth of childhood..

Visions of holiday tree lights

Cast a warm glow 

through the night

I sleep wrapped in a 

crocheted blanket

All by myself 

as my family sleeps in their own beds.
